Terms & Conditions

These are the ground rules for being part of Table & Kin. We kept them as straightforward as possible because nobody wants to read a novel written by a lawyer. If something here doesn't make sense, just ask us.
What We Do
Table & Kin is a weekly produce subscription service. We curate boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables and deliver them to pickup locations across Grey and Bruce Counties. You choose a box, you choose a pickup spot, and there's good food waiting for you.
How Ordering Works
You have options. You can order a box for this week only, next week only, every week, or every other week. Weekly and biweekly orders keep coming until you pause or cancel. One time orders are exactly that.
Every Friday around midday, we finalize what's going in your box and the full contents become viewable in your account. We build every single box to order so we can buy exactly what we need from our growers and keep food waste to an absolute minimum. That's the whole point.
Pricing
Box prices are listed on our website. If we ever need to adjust pricing, we'll give active subscribers at least 30 days' notice.
When You're Charged
Tuesday delivery: Saturday at 6:00 PM.
Thursday delivery: Monday at 6:00 PM.
That's when your order locks and your card is charged. Need to pause or skip? Do it before that deadline and you won't be charged.
If your card declines, we'll let you know right away and hold your order while you sort it out. If it's not resolved by the time we print pick sheets the next business morning, your order is cancelled for that week. No hard feelings. Get it sorted and you're back on track the following week.
Taxes
Fresh produce is zero rated under Canadian tax law. That means no HST on your order. If we ever introduce products that aren't zero rated down the road, applicable taxes will be shown clearly before you're charged.
Picking Up Your Box
You choose your pickup location when you sign up. Each location has its own hours, so check your account or our website for details. We send reminders by email and text before every delivery so you know exactly when your box is ready and where it's waiting.
Your box is your responsibility once it arrives at the pickup location. If you don't pick it up during business hours on your delivery day, you're still charged. Uncollected boxes are handled at the discretion of the host location. We don't issue credits or replacements for missed pickups.
If you know you can't make it, pause your order ahead of time. That's what it's there for.
Interested in Becoming a Pickup Location?
Your hub needs 4 active orders at your address to stay running. That includes your own. You have 30 days from approval to get 3 neighbours signed up. Hub hosts get 20% off their own box every single week. Drop us a line and we'll tell you how it works.
Pausing & Cancelling
You can pause or cancel anytime through your account. Just do it before your billing deadline:
Tuesday delivery: Pause or cancel by Saturday at 6:00 PM.
Thursday delivery: Pause or cancel by Monday at 6:00 PM.
After that cutoff, you're locked in for the week.
We reserve the right to cancel an account if there are repeated payment failures, a violation of these terms, or abusive behaviour toward our team or pickup location hosts.
Quality
If something shows up damaged or spoiled, send us a photo within 24 hours of pickup at hello@tableandkin.ca and we'll replace the affected item in your next box. We don't issue credits or refunds, but we always make it right the following week.
Replacements are only available for damage or spoilage. We're not able to offer them for items that just weren't your favourite.
Allergies
Our produce is packed in a shared facility that handles a variety of fresh fruits and vegetables. We cannot guarantee against cross contamination. If you have a severe allergy, please keep this in mind when deciding if Table & Kin is right for you.
Payment
We process payments through Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, and most major debit cards.
Your Account
Keep your password to yourself and your contact and payment info up to date. If something changes, update it in your account so we can keep your orders running smoothly. You're responsible for all activity under your login.
Privacy
We use your personal information to run your orders and communicate with you. That's it. We don't sell your information to anyone. Ever.
Liability
If something goes wrong with an order, our responsibility is limited to the value of the affected box. We may occasionally need to pause service due to weather, supplier disruptions, or circumstances we can't control. We'll always let you know as quickly as possible.
Age
You need to be 18 or older to place an order. Under 18? A parent or guardian can set up an account on your behalf.
Updates to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. If anything significant changes, we'll let you know by email. Continuing to use Table & Kin after a change means you're good with the updated terms.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes are resolved in the courts of Ontario.
