What We Collect
When you create an account or place an order, we collect:
Account information: Your name, email address, phone number, and the password you create.
Order information: Your pickup location, box selection, swap choices, order history, and delivery preferences.
Payment information: Your credit or debit card details are collected and processed securely through our payment processor. We do not store your full card number on our systems.
Communications: Any emails or messages you send us, including photos submitted for quality concerns.
Why We Collect It
Everything we collect serves a purpose:
To run your orders. We need your name, contact info, and payment details to process your box, charge your card, and get your produce to the right pickup location every week.
To communicate with you. We send order confirmations, delivery reminders, swap window notifications, and the occasional update about Table & Kin. We also use your phone number to send SMS reminders before each delivery.
To improve our service. We look at order patterns and swap data in aggregate to make better box builds, stock the right inventory, and understand what our customers want. This is never tied to you individually.
Who We Share It With
We don't sell your personal information to anyone. We never have and we never will.
We work with a small number of trusted service providers to process payments, deliver emails, and send text reminders. They only receive the minimum information needed to do their job, and each one meets our standards for security and compliance.
How We Protect It
We take reasonable steps to protect your information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. Your payment details are handled entirely by our payment processor and never touch our servers. Our platform uses encrypted connections and secure authentication.
That said, no system is perfectly secure. We do our best, but we can't guarantee absolute security over the internet. If we ever become aware of a breach that affects your information, we will notify you promptly.
Cookies
Our website uses cookies to keep you logged in and to remember your preferences. We don't use cookies to track you across the internet or serve you targeted ads.
Your Rights
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you have the right to:
Access your information. You can ask us what personal information we hold about you.
Correct your information. If something is wrong or outdated, let us know and we'll fix it. You can also update most details directly in your account.
Withdraw consent. You can ask us to stop using your information for marketing purposes at any time. You can also unsubscribe from promotional emails using the link at the bottom of any message.
Request deletion. You can ask us to delete your account and personal information. We'll honour that request, though we may need to retain certain records for legal or accounting purposes.

Children
Table & Kin is for customers 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.
