Shop > Our Sources > RUTLEDGE POTATO FARMS

The Rutledge family has been growing potatoes in the Shelburne area since 1883, making them one of the longest running farm families in the region. Today they grow, pack, and distribute quality potatoes across over 2,000 acres of rich Ontario farmland. Six generations of Rutledge's have worked this soil, and they have fought hard to protect it, including leading the effort to stop a massive quarry proposal that would have swallowed prime agricultural land in their township. They grow varieties like Yukon Gem and Nicola alongside everyday staples that end up in kitchens across the province. When potatoes show up in your box, they came from a family that has been feeding Ontario longer than most of us have been alive.
