The Pfenning family has been growing certified organic vegetables since 1981, when Wilhelm and Barnhild moved from Germany to New Hamburg with their four children and a stubborn commitment to farming without chemicals. Today the farm spans close to 700 acres and grows over 40 varieties of organic vegetables. They also work with other Ontario organic growers to keep a full selection available year round. When you open one of our organic boxes, chances are good that what is inside was grown, washed, and packed by the Pfenning family and their team. That is the kind of short supply chain we believe in.
