Table and Kin, Fresh Food Built for Families

Community Hub Host Agreement

This agreement is between Table and Kin and the Community Hub Host named below. By completing and submitting this form, both of us agree to the terms laid out here. We have kept it plain on purpose.

What You Do

You provide a clean, covered pickup spot at your home where neighbours can grab their weekly produce boxes. A porch, a garage, a side entrance, or any area that stays dry and out of the weather.

No refrigeration is needed. All boxes are packed fresh from our cooler and sealed to hold their quality through the pickup window.

Boxes sit at least 6 inches off the ground on a table, shelf, bench, or rack. We will help you find a setup that fits your space.

Pets and animals stay away from the pickup area during the window. Service animals are the only exception.

Laneway and Pickup Area

You agree to keep your laneway, driveway, and any walkways used for pickup clear and clean of debris, snow, ice, and obstructions, so customers can come and go safely.

The people visiting your hub are neighbours, friends, and families from your community. A clear, accessible path looks after everyone, and it reflects well on the hub.

Schedule

We agree on a delivery day and a pickup window that work for your household. Your neighbours will know when to expect their boxes and when to come by.

We aim for 3pm to 6pm, and we will work with whatever fits your schedule.
After this time, unclaimed boxes are handled as described below.

Unclaimed Boxes

Once your pickup window closes, any boxes still waiting are in your hands. You decide what happens next.

You can keep the produce for yourself. You can give it to a neighbour. You can donate it to a local food bank or community group. You can arrange a late pickup with the customer directly.

If a customer picks up after the window closes, that arrangement is between you and them. We are not responsible for the condition of produce once the window has passed.

Keeping the Boxes Moving

A hub works best with about four households ordering to your address each delivery, your own included. That is usually the point where the trip is worth it for everyone, and the food keeps moving the way fresh produce should.

We are not going to hold a number over you. If your hub runs quieter than that, we will check in like neighbours, ask how it is going, and see whether a different day or pickup window fits your life better. Our only real worry is produce waiting too long. Fresh food is the whole promise, and a box that sits does not keep it. So if pickups get inconsistent, that is a conversation between us, never a penalty.

This just helps us know how to help if your hub could use a few more neighbours.

What You Get

Two ways we say thank you for opening your space.

20%

off your own Table and Kin box, for as long as your hub is active

$10

in credit for every new household you bring on who joins and gets their first box

The neighbours you invite get our best welcome on their first box. Hosting feeds the people around you, and it gives a little back to you.

What Each of Us Looks After

We keep this simple, and we write it down so there are no surprises.

Table and Kin looks after the food and the customers. The produce, the packing, and the quality up to the moment a box reaches your hub are ours. Any customer question or issue is ours too. You are never on the hook for the produce, a missing box, or a customer matter.

You look after your space. You keep the pickup area and the path to it clean, dry, and clear, so anyone stopping by can come and go safely. As the property owner, the safe condition of your property during the pickup window is yours, the same as it would be for any guest you welcome.

Because neighbours will visit on pickup day, let your home or business insurer know that a few people pick up here each week, so your own coverage fits what you are doing.

Table and Kin carries its own business liability coverage for our products and our operations.

The short version. You are responsible for the condition of your property. We are responsible for the produce, the customers, and how we run things. If something ever goes sideways, we talk first, like neighbours, and we make it right together.

Keeping It Simple

This partnership continues as long as it works for both of us. If either of us needs to step away, just give two weeks notice. No hard feelings, no complications.

Table and Kin is fully responsible for our products and our customers. You are not on the hook for anything related to the produce, missing boxes, or customer issues. That is on us.

If your schedule changes, if you need a break for a week, if something comes up, just let us know. We will figure it out. That is what neighbours do.

We Value This Partnership

We look after our customers by treating them fairly. We look after you by handling anything that comes up on the customer side directly. And together we are building something that helps our neighbours eat well.

If either of us has an idea to make things work better, we talk about it. If something is not working, we fix it together.

Our customers know the deal. Community Hub Hosts are neighbours who opened their homes to help. We expect every member to treat your space and your family with the same respect they would show any neighbour. If anyone falls short of that, we handle it, and we will not ask twice.
